Centacare Tasmania - Family Services
Intensive Family Support (North)

Intensive Family Support (North) The program offers support to families who have been brought to the attention of Child protection, or are considered 'at risk' of current notification. The program is a case management based outreach program, working with clients to identify issues, and assisting clients to develop skills and capacities to resolve identified problems.

Families are offered intensive assistance with 'in home" support, including establishing routines, child behaviour problems, communication issues, school and department liaison, dietary issues, parenting skills, advocacy, referral and support. The program has access to the broad range of programs offered by Centacare, including Counselling, Anger programs, and domestic violence programs and parenting skills training. The program is limited to 10 families at any one time, and clients access the service through referral from Child and Family Services workers.
