Family Life Education (State wide)
Family Life Education is a service offered to schools and families around the state to assist teachers and parents as the primary educators of their children in the area of sex and sexuality. It involves the delivery of an educational program within schools, sometimes during normal school hours while at other times as an extracurricular component with parental involvement. There are various programs which are offered for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 each one delivering age appropriate information.  The types of issues which are discussed within the Primary School programs include; the importance of families, how babies begin, grow and develop inside of their Mother and how babies are born. Programs developed for the Upper Primary students will generally include other components as well such as, issues relating to puberty. Our Secondary programs look at a range of topics such as where does life begin, healthy/happy relationships, myths about sex, teen pregnancy, contraception, fertility, STI's, sex and the law and other current topics. Family Life Education can also be offered on an individual basis if required.
