Women's Anger Management Program (WAM)
An interactive program to support women while they explore their feelings of anger and learn some strategies for managing powerful emotions safely.
This is a six week program, with sessions running for 2 hours each week. There is a personal interview for all participants before the course starts, so that we can make sure the program will be useful for each participant.
The program has been run very successfully in Launceston and in outreach areas such as George Town.

The R.E.A.L. Women's Group is an ten week group program that enables women to explore the place of anger in their lives. It is based on the ideas generated by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and offers women the opportunity to explore anger and to reduce the suffering that it may have caused them or other people in their lives. The program covers a different topic each week and aims to provide the participants with a range of alternatives to anger responses as well as a recognition that the struggle with anger is often part of the problem rather than the solution.
