Settlement Projects (South & North) supports new and emerging communities settling in the State to address barriers to participating fully in Australian society. Settlement Projects is predominantly funded by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship through the Settlement Grants Program. This support is offered to those who have arrived in Australia in the last 5 years.
Settlement Projects is made up of 3 core projects:

v Case Management
HOME provides education, support, advocacy and information to increase clients from new and emerging communities’ capacity to negotiate housing systems. Information sessions on budgeting ,finance and tenancy issues will also be conducted.
Providing support, education and advocacy to high needs clients to obtain long term sustainable and affordable housing.
Supported referral is available to other providers as needed.
This is a weekly life skills and support program working with Humanitarian Entrant women in areas of project development, health information and referral through group work with a focus on sewing, handcraft, social participation and learning English.
Case Management - SGP (South)
Through the SGP tailored case management is offered for individuals or families with the primary aims of supporting clients to address barriers, achieve goals and to support access to mainstream services. Clients are eligible to access the SGP on their own behalf or through referral from another service or organisation. SGP works collaboratively with other agencies and service providers to achieve client outcomes, with a focus on co-case management with mainstream service providers to ensure successful outcomes. SGP also offer information and referral services on- or off-site and provide a workshop program focussing on subjects identified by clients and community members.
